“Thanks so much for asking me to be a part of the challenge! It has been really great, and I am totally excited to continue birding and to learning more about birds in Nova Scotia… I had a great time watching and marveling at the diversity of the species.”
–Susan Leblanc Crawford, Zuppa Circus

The Birds Are Back Celebrity Challenge has come to a successful end.

We were impressed by how tight the race became, with experienced and inexperienced birders alike seeing an average of between 5 and 11 species on the list.  Please click here to see who won the prizes, and why!

Many thanks to all participants for their support and enthusiasm.

Much appreciation and thanks to Ian McLaren, Suzanne Borkowski, Sue Abbott and Cindy Staicer for their generous help with consulting and birding expertise.

The list of Challenge species, information on the birds, and birding sites in HRM are available here.
