Member of the Month, November 2011: Janet Ross  Janet has been a member of the Ecology Action Centre since the mid-1980s.  She can be found at the EAC office volunteering and making witty and insightful comments every Tuesday afternoon.

Voices for Our Coast This video features over 40 Nova Scotians including municipal officials, fish harvesters, real estate agents, tourism operators, coastal land owners, scientists, students, farmers and many others. They are sending a message to our leaders that its time to manage and protect the coast.

Voices for our Coast: 10 more voices from across Nova Scotia The Ecology Action Centre has been interviewing people from across Nova Scotia to find out what people love about our magnificent coast, what concerns them about the coast, and what people think needs to be done to better protect and manage the coast. This video features 10 more 'Voices' for our coast.

Go Local  EAC's Goods Miles Project explored the difference in green house gas emissions created by the transportation of five common consumer products. The 60-second, production-quality video started as an idea to post something on to YouTube that would demonstrate to consumers that even the littlest of choices can make a difference. What we ended up with is an amazing video that demonstrates how big that impact really is.

Morris Building An introductory video produced for a lecture by Kim Thompson and Aaron Murnaghan of the Ecology Action Centre for the Heritage Canada 2010 AGM. This lecture used the Morris Project experience as a case study for how adaptive re-use and green renovation can make heritage buildings more relevant, more sustainable and more desirable. The greenest building is after all, the one still standing.

Musicians for Farmers Taken at the first ever Musicians For Farmers, Saturday 3 Nov 07, a benefit event for Heliotrust - an EAC affiliate - working for farmland conservation, biodiversity, sustainable farming practices, and conserving and imparting rural wisdom.
