Earth Energy
The Earth Energy Project was a 9 month collaboration between the Ecology Action Centre and Environment Canada, under the Environment Canada's Science Horizons Program.
This project is focused on earth energy storage for greenhouse applications, which is an on-going project at Environment Canada. Another component of the project is to increase the knowledge within Nova Scotia about earth energy opportunities for small-scale residential and commercial applications.
Objectives
The objectives of the Earth Energy Project were to:
1) Assist Environment Canada with research on earth energy storage technologies for greenhouse applications. This includes demonstration sites, collaborations with local research institutions, and collaborations with international parties;
2) Assist in disseminating this information to greenhouse growers in Nova Scotia;
3) Provide information to Nova Scotians regarding earth energy technologies for small-scale residential or commercial settings.
