What Is Halifax Landshare?
Halifax Landshare is an online mapping system that connects growers in search of land to those with land to share. This project is a collaboration between the Ecology Action Centre and Lifecycles. Halifax Landshare runs on Sharing Backyards mapping technology.

Spring is just around the corner!
Order your seeds now for best variety. Remember that planting heritage varieties means you can save your seeds for planting next year.
Feb 1. Plant your indoor starters that will need a lot of time, such as onions, chives, lavender and rosemary
March 15. Set the rest of your indoor starters
May 1. Frost hardy varieties can be set out, such as salad greens, peas, radishes and root crops
May 15. Set out seeds and seedlings of regular tolerance
June 1. The really safe frost date! Set out sensitive plants like tomatoes, basil, peppers and eggplants
