Wind Energy Working Group
The development of renewable energy and energy efficiency measures are key components of a sustainable energy future. We have formed a volunteer working group to encourage Nova Scotia to accelerate the wind industry in a way that is respectful to communities. Please see:

Building Energy Efficiency Project (BEEP)

The EAC, in partnership with the Nova Scotia Community College, are completing 10 building energy use analysis and EcoEnergy Federal Incentive for Buildings applications in the region of Digby, Annapolis, and Kings municipalities. This $5000 service is being offered for $100 through this project. Aside from these completed audits, a provincial wide database of eligible buildings for future audits is being created.

Solar Gain Project
The Ecology Action Centre partners with Nova Scotia Department of Energy, Solar Nova Scotia, Environment Canada, and the Henry P. Kendall Foundation to promote the use of solar energy for water heating at businesses in Nova Scotia.

Earth Energy Project
The Earth Energy Project was a 9-month project focused on earth energy storage for greenhouse applications, which is an on-going project at Environment Canada.
