Marine protected areas are a crucial tool for helping damaged ocean ecosystems recover.  Three environmental groups (World Wildlife Fund, Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society and the Ecology Action Centre) have taken a snapshot of the state of marine protection in the waters off Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.
