Carpool

Click here for the Nova Scotia Carpool Centre.

The first step in getting a carpool going is to find another person (or a group) who lives near you and has a similar work schedule.

If you're from a rural community, why not meet at a free park and ride lot, leave some vehicles behind, and share rides to the city?

Vanpool

Commercially-operated vanpools currently bring commuters into HRM. They are licensed and regulated by the NS Utility and Review Board to ensure a safe, reliable service.

Vans seat up to 15 persons, and drivers are commuters who hold a class 4 license. For some operators, drivers travel free or at a reduced fare. Ask about daily or weekly fares.
