Active & Safe Routes to School (ASRTS)

Active & Safe Routes to School encourages more children, youth and their families to use active transportation – such as walking and cycling – for the environment, physical activity and traffic safety. Visit project page.

Bike Again!

The main focus of Bike Again! is to provide public education on bicycle maintenance and safety. We deliver several programs (community repair night, bike loans, maintenance courses, bike trailers) in which the public can participate. Visit project page.

TRAX

TRAX aims to make it easier for Nova Scotians to walk, bike, carpool or use the bus for transportation.  Current TRAX projects include the Green Mobility Capital Grant Program, Senior's Bus Training, Canadians Idleless and the Association of Doctors for Advancing Physically-active Transportation. Visit project page.

Transportation Issues Committee Volunteer Project Ideas

Here are some ideas generated by Transportation Issues Committee (TIC) members in a planning session in July of 2009: TIC Plan. Higher priority items appear at the top of each list. See if there's a project you're interested in and come to a meeting to learn how you can help. TIC meetings take place on the first Monday of each month at 5:30 at the Ecology Action Centre.
