11. lighting
Most of the light in our office is harvested from the sun through south-facing windows. This light is then transferred throughout the offices by daylighting. The light travels through interior windows and brightly-painted walls, which allow the light to bounce through one office and into the next.
For late nights and stormy days, energy-efficient lightbulbs have been installed as task lighting at most desks. Central areas also feature ceiling fixtures. We have primarily installed fluorescent bulbs, and plan to replace the few existing halogen bulbs with LEDs in several years.
